I’m a Hispanic woman on my team ( 8 years industry experience with managerial experience ) and have been in my role for 1.5 years . A white male on my team (4 years industry experience no managerial experience) with under a year at the same level got promoted over me. How do you deal with unresponsive summers? I’m a junior and overseeing my first project with summers (5 in total). Two are unresponsive and do not acknowledge my emails. Do I need to make it clear that I expect acknowledgement when I assign work? The other three don’t have a problem with this, so I’m not sure what it is.
