Hi all,
Does your organization have a good work-life balance, especially for IDs? Or do you know any such organisation? Currently I am working for more than 12 hours a day. I am a mother of one year old, hence, want to switch to the organization, which has less work pressure.

As someone who has worked for JPM and BNP, it comes down to two things; WLB and compensation.
If you value WLB over compensation, then BNP is for you.
If you want to buss you gut, work in an intense environment were you will be constantly challenged, pushed to your limits and hopefully get a good bonus at the end of it, then JPM is your place.
If career advancement and being the best matters to you, JPM is your place.
If you want to work hard, but not excessively and want to just do enough and be able to spend quality time with your friends and family, then BNP is your place.
Across the board, BNP pay less than JPM.
I know it seems I am being negatively towards BNP, but you have to understand money matters and places that pay well will attract the best candidates; you either survive or thrive at JPM there is no in between over there.
BNP is a French bank and it is completely engulfed by French culture - things move slower at European banks in comparison to their American counterparts.
when I last interviewed there years ago they mentioned that they follow the home bank rules, so you get 1-2 weeks of mandated time off at least
Time off is generous evidently.
Yes would like to know more about culture etc
I saw this post too. They pay less than American firms smh
