I know it won’t make a big difference in the payslip as it’s a taxable benefit but is it worth keeping the private medical in the UK? All this time I’ve never used it and we need to go through the NHS first anyway for pretty much everything.

Would like to know what all is tested in pre employment health check up. Example- blood and other samples collected. What sorts of test they run. Which organisation does these tests.

Mental Health, inherited or choice? I am finding myself struggling with processing that ADD, Depression, or Bipolar is a chemical imbalance in the brain vs. behavioral therapy. The best analogy given to me is you would treat diabetics with insulin so why not consider prescriptions to help mental health. 2020 has thrown more at me than I’m able to handle. Has anyone here noticed a significant improvement after a prescription to help psych issues?

Has anyone left PA for a hybrid accounting/finance role? It definitely sounds interesting to me, but I want to avoid ending up in a role performing 2 roles for the salary of 1! How would you handle not getting a lunch break when you are a salaried employee treating patients for 40 hours a week? I don’t get documentation time either, but all notes are to be completed the same day. Some of us have reached out to HR and we’re told to discuss it with the regional director, but the regional director says we’d have to come in early or leave late to block out a lunch break. My commute is an hour each way, so I’d prefer not to make my day any longer. Advice?
