Depends on your location. I think it's worth it bc i could walk to it in busy season. Locker rooms are very nice. They have plenty of classes if that's your thing.
Know a few people who do. Guess it depends on the person (loves classes, super nice gym will motivate them, whatever). I just do compound lifts and hit the sauna so it absolutely wouldn’t be
So it depends. If ur going to go about 4-5 days a week yes but if not then no. Keep in mind if you do travel you membership to the one location won't work for others. You either need to pay more to have membership to all locations or call each time and ask to be put on guest list - worked for me sometimes. Maybe it works all the time, not sure. Anyway I've had equinox for a while but now I'm traveling a bit and hardly in office so I'm cancelling. They seem to increase prices every year about $4-6 or so. They have great amenities though. If u like classes their teachers are very qualified and skilled , better than 24 hour.
If you live in NYC, 100% if you like to go to classes. It’s next to the office. Also, classes at boutique studios in NYC can be $40 so if you plan on going 1-2 times a week to classes It is worth it financially. I’ve also used it when traveling to Boston, San Diego, SF, and LA. I have the membership where I can go to any club and love it!!!
If you like classes check out Classpass, I think it’s a lot more flexible with locations and classes without compromising quality. I was not impressed at all by the two Equinox locations I tried in a trial period and reminded me of how I don’t like gyms 🙃
