No issues with MI Homes in Fort Worth, we closed in July. Any specific questions?
Good experience with MI homes.
Toll brothers is solid. Can’t generally go wrong with them or Lennar
They cater to different price ranges. Toll upgrades are super expensive compared to M/I, though Toll still obviously cuts corners through subcontractors like quarter rounds on vinyl floor rather than pushing them into baseboards. Getting an inspector to watch along the build process helps a lot. Any other Qs, my wife is a realtor, we’ve seen them all
1. Cardboard sheathing exterior and missing house wrap (*cough* windmiller)
2. Quarter rounds on vinyl/hardwood (toll)
3. Centered knobs on cabinets but pushed all the way to the top, not aesthetic at all (Megatel)
4. Cheap ass 0.25” granite (megatel)
5. Single layer not multi composition shingle (KB/express)
6. 24” stud instead of 18” (david weekley)
7. Shower “lightly waterproofed” no hardie backer, schluter or full red gard (basically every builder)
8. tacky “marble bowl” sink (david weekley)
Thats only 8, I can go on and on
Toll brothers good- M/I homes are hit or miss depending on market.
Toll Brothers are one of the best. 2nd is Highland homes.
