Anyone have experience working in an ethnic team? My team has 12 people. 8 are from the same foreign country.

The team used to be more diverse. But over the past year, the new team lead, who is one of the eight, forced people to exit and hired and promoted the people from his country. All hires/promotions in the past 12 months were for his people. He is also rewarding most contracts to vendors from his country. I am shocked VP and HR approved. Feels pretty demotivating to be a minority
