I have recived a call from HR regarding the salary offered & she told that we are offering that salary. I have accepted offer & told her to explain me the breakup of CTC, she said she will call me back but i have not received any call from last 2 days & I have tired to call & also mailed her but no revert.

Most contractors don’t want to work in government and vice versa, assuming that is where you are coming from. They attract two very different types of people.
Only 10% cut?
Does you current job provide substantially better benefits?
For me the pension, PTO, and better hours would be worth the 10% cut even before you add in actual sick leave. I’d still ask for a step match and if your current firm provides more than 20 hrs PTO try to get a match on that (I.e. start with 6hrs per pay period). You’ll probably get none of it, but it never hurts to ask.
I’m also not sure what position you’d move to, but the mission and work I do can’t be effectively replicated in the private sector.
I’d also weigh the opportunity cost. What is your long term career objective? Will the government job help or hurt that? And what would the potential exists from the role be? Government experience is often devalued and you have to spend time catching up career wise later on.
