IBM is offering me the position of Test Specialist with 7A band but it has offered the position of Senior Consultant with 6B band to my friend.

We both are having 6 YOE in Testing and have been tagged to the same project in IBM.

Then why this difference?? Am I loosing out on my designation?? Or is my friend loosing out on band??

Any tips on asking for a raise? I’ve recently taken calls with several recruiters and discovered that I’m likely underpaid by about 15%. I just got an 8% raise and I got the highest performance rating two years in a row so I think I’m in a good position to ask.
