I am not getting any response on my posts..I'm feeling depressed due to my bad luck. I have only 1 month noticeperiod left & had only 1 offer in hand with 40CTC. Right now my current salary is too low which is 27LPA with 14 yrs of exp and working as Data scientist. I am getting very few interview calls. A couple months back, I had an offer for a BDR position that I ended up turning down but I really liked and connected with the manager. Is it worth it to reach out? Just accepted an offer with a psych startup. Not exactly the offer I was hoping for as I’m taking a slight pay cut ($73/hr) and it’s a 1099 position. I keep getting stuck on the 1099 piece because I’ll be working 40 hrs/wk, but have been told I’m not eligible to be a W2 employee. Needless to say, no benefits whatsoever. They don’t even provide a computer or any other remote equipment for the completely remote position. Am I making a mistake? Also, can anyone chime in about being a 1099 employee?

Clawback clause in current contract: been in role for over 2 yrs, it was an internal move that required relocation. Relocation was approved shortly after (over 2 yrs ago) but covid meant the actual move and start of my contract with new subsidiary was delayed, I was paid by the previous subsidiary meanwhile. I got small relocation package. Would internal move be subject to a buy-out/clawback clause if I leave now and if yes, is it time in role or time under new contract? Any experience? Thanks!
