Have a friend who does this in Phoenix. 100% disabled. Got blown up in AFG and died for 5 minutes. Lives in a shitty apt with 2 cats. Drinks daily. Also has 3 degrees and knows 4 languages.
Not a bad set up except for the cats. Nasty.
In THIS economy, no.
2018 economy….. yes lol
it is the opposite, work during bull runs to build the nest egg then quit in bad economy.
I wish! However, my benefits would not get me all that far and I know could live them or support my family. The cost of living is out of control and is only getting worse each day :( and I have three kinds in middle and high school so I must keep working my corporate job. But if you can afford your life style off of your benefits I say go for it.
Yep.
I’m 100% P&T with enough investment income to comfortable supplement.
Hoping to keep pushing for another 3-5 years and then will probably start pulling back.
Comfortably*
Daily my friend
Thought about it once or twice but the way the economy is I don't think I could survive. The prices of everything just keep going up and its not getting any better. I feel like I have to stay employed just to live and be able to save at the same time.
I thought about this but it would be more feasible outside the United States. My wife isn’t about that nomad/living abroad life.
I have enough positive rental income to make it and I thought about selling all my properties too since I have a good amount of equity
I have thought about packing everything up and just traveling around the country in my car or caravan home. Surviving off my benefits. But I'm not sure how that would work with all my appointments at the VA.
Doing it now. Albeit also living out my car the last year as I try and get a startup off the ground. Burning into savings a bit each month to make it work and it’s not glamorous. That being said, wouldn’t change a thing.
Can you share what you’re working on?
if u reached 20 should be pretty easy
