PwC 🐠, I interviewed with the firm about 6 months ago for a Senior Associate position on the forensics team. I wasn’t extended an offer because the position was given to an internal transfer, at least what I was told. I tried reaching out to the recruiter I worked with last time but the email bounced back and wouldn’t be delivered. I was hoping to see / reapply if the group still was looking for seniors.
In your opinion, would it be best to reapply as a cold application?

Finally found THE one, after over a year of searching and trying out at least 5 different ones!
A nice comfortable office chair.
https://ergochair.co/collections/chairs/products/ergonomics-mesh-chair-w-adjustable-headrest-and-armrest?variant=32511617597491
My criteria: mesh seat and back, arms, headrest
I tried cheap ones from Amazon. Expensive, second hand gaming chairs. Tried HM Aeron (second hand) and while I didn't like the bulk and the general design, I was sold on the mesh seating. I wanted to get the ErgoChair 2 from autonomous, but it doesn't have mesh seat.

Recruiter tells you later
Oh weird! Given that the interviewer is the only judge so if you passed, why won't they tell right after!
That’s how most consulting firms I’ve interviewed at work...
Just accept it and move on...
They have to see the full day’s schedule and level set at the end of the day. Also usually the interviews are literally back to back all day and interviewer doesn’t have any time to think until the end.
Your interviewer probably had 14 of those more or less back to back, then at the end of the day has to tell HR their force ranking, HR has to take into account any outstanding factors (partner relationships, diversity, number of available interview slots, etc.) and then decide who gets passed on. I’m not at McK, but I think that’s pretty much how things work everywhere.
K1 - pretty sure people won't share this info here. Very unethical!
Case questions that you received are unethical to share?
@M1 - I was just referring to the phone case interview that lasts 30 mins and prior to in office interviews. It's only for experienced hires
I was told I was moving on by the interviewer and then the recruiter eventually told me. Obviously on a case by case basis.
What was the case about.. very curious
M1, for us HR/recruiting doesn’t do any further filtering based on the outstanding factors you mentioned. The interviewer’s decision is final.
A1 - did you make it to final round?
Yes
So the case interviewer said that the recruiter will get back to me with results. I made a small math error but corrected when she asked me to "check again". A bit worried about that. Did everything else right though in terms of communication and explaining my thinking process.
If you get dinged it will be because of something else in addition to that.
@A1 - I corrected my error when pointed out and did well. Do they really sing you if you correct yourself ?
Ding*
