Hi all, recently in touch by Spotify recruiter for a Sec Engineer position for remote EU and was told that range was 60-80 out of base salary and equity. Had 2 years of security experience out of my 4 years. Was also told that there is no bonus scheme or no sign in bonus 😕 Not sure how I feel about this tbh.
What do you think?

I see several posts from people asking how they can help during these times with a few extra $$$ to spend. Here is just one of many ideas.

#stepuptothetable is about helping local restaurants who are struggling during these times. I have seen numerous linkedin posts with videos where people challenge each other to step up to the table & buy meals & gift cards from their community restaurants. A great way for those of us who are more fortunate to support business & keep people employed.

Break the rules. I go see my GF and brother, and avoid my parents. I wear a mask, wash my hands, change my clothes, and wipe my cell phone.

Yeah. That's fair. It's certainly not risk free.
I had covid, recovered from covid alone in my apartment, and am now driving home to be with my parents. I can’t do 4 more weeks solo.
All good now. I had it when Tom Hanks did. He stole the spotlight from me....obviously.
I have a ‘Covid-wife.’ This is someone who is also quarantined alone, so we get together nightly to actually have human interaction. The rules are:
1. We were both quarantined 2 weeks before it could start
2. We are not allowed to interact with anyone else in this manner
3. All the hand washing and 6 ft rules still apply
Some might argue, but we are basically now like a family, we just sleep at different studios (we would co-locate, but our appts are too small.)
Your mental health is important too, so take care of yourself!

Exactly! I love this name COVID-wife.
Might use it with my GF. She'll think it's cute.
... Except she may want to drop the COVID part...and start asking why we have 2 studios 😅
I just relocated to my parents’. Staying with them indefinitely until we have to go back to work in the office. But honestly there are perks to being alone too!

what about a dog
I see why you work at CBIZ
Hang in there. It's tough, and we're all going through some version of this together. If you can't move in with family, try to talk with neighbors or anyone really. If you can keep your distance, you can still at least see people from six feet away. No idea how people living in Manhattan are dealing with this.

journaling, singing, find an indoor hobby

Enjoy that actually lol.
Find hobbies or experiments. Helps to have buddies to do them with virtually. Good time to learn about those things you've been thinking about. Cooking, coding, gardening, origami, yoga, whatever
Hi there. I felt the same OP. Weirdly, I went through what felt like stages of grief, and now at acceptance! For me what really helped, and it sounds basic, was to have a schedule during the week to carve out time to do something non-work related. (Workout, making sure you’re having breakfast/coffee without a laptop.) At the weekend, I had to make sure that I was doing “activities”, not just watch Netflix! Reading, cooking, puzzles, clear out closets, etc. I looked at it like I was accelerating the normal times that I would be at home doing stuff like this anyway, so it kept my mind active. I really struggled a few weeks ago but last two weeks, with a mindset shift, it’s not as bad. Switching off my phone two hours before bed and some weekends also did wonders for me. Sounds the opposite as you’re cutting yourself off from people but it gave me times to stop thinking about what i’m missing out on and instead focus on other stuff.
