Got an offer for a sales applications manager role at Cisco and a Strategic AE role at Amazon - both are basically the same pay (130~ base, 220 OTE)
I don’t have any friends at either company so I was curious if anyone has experience and can shed some light on culture/ work life balance to help me make a decision? Thanks for the help guys!

I've heard very mixed reviews tbh. Some of my former colleagues moved there and I've heard that it can be fun and a good environment, but I've also heard that compensation and benefits are not great, and that management can be difficult to work with. Probably depends on your specific team, but I might reach out to a current employee to get more details.
I used to work at a high turnover care facility. A manager told us that "we have hired everyone in the county that can pass a background check. If someone comes in without a needle in their arm, I have to hire them." There was still a very specific type of person that could get fired from that desperate place in about 2 weeks- a month. That type of person is gxo's preferred management stock.
The sole redeeming quality of gxo is keeping those individuals out of circulation in care facilities.
Have you checked reviews on Glassdoor? I usually have pretty good luck with the reviews there.
What specific role did you apply for? I think it's a pretty new company. It was established in 2021 and has a good reputation.
Personal experience would recommend staying at Amazon. GXO is trying to be a better company but the budgets are all restricted by the clients - if you want to make a difference you will be fighting uphill all the time just to get hte most basic things across the line. The people are good but the setup is completely wrong imo
I applied for a role late Feb, not heard a single think back or acknowledgement :(
Pay is mediocre, benefits are the worst I've ever had to pay for in my 30 years of working. Safety is a huge part of the work life but at the end of the day they just use the safety policies as a weapon. Management at GXO is an enigma. Every person you go to for a decision has to go to a higher level manager for approval. No decisions can be made at the local level and you're constantly hogtied with policies that nobody can seem to navigate through. Every little bump and scrape experience by the staff results in more strict safety policies that all too often hamper work flow. HR is all but nonexistent and can take weeks or months to get an answer back about critical issues. You'll get fired for the smallest safety policy violation but you can walk in from lunch smelling like you crawled into a bottle for your break and as long as you're not falling on your face they won't send you in for a UA.
