Few days back I had cleared 2 technical and one managerial round in JPMC. But not yet received any update from HR yet. Can someone please let me know how long will they take to contact after completing 3 rounds? And any idea how long will they take to schedule HR Round?

I heard from my head that there is a lot of slowdown in VW Germany... There is Hiring freeze, level freeze and all ... And soon that will spillover to india. So be prepared for very less hikes in coming cycle :( Also automotive sector in general is struggling with tesla laying off 10% workforce recently. Maybe time to make a move? What do you say fishes?

What do you think about switching tech stacks vs becoming an expert in one stack? I am a backend Java engineer, and have solely used Java since I've started my software engineering career about 2 years ago. I don't know whether I should explore other tech stacks while I'm young, or instead focus on becoming a Java expert, given that I enjoy working in Java.

Made a career pivot to another agency. During the interview we talked about how it may start as initially a "step backwards" (pay/benefits) but has potential for more long term growth. From reading a number of books and listening to a number of podcasts about starting a business, one underlying factor they all share is to have deep passion for what you do. How do you know what your passion is? I mean I think a lot about golf but i don’t think that’s a passion. It’s my hobby. I think most people just know.

Dubai people I live in Marquise Square tower and my neighbor is having a party literally every day till 4-5 in the morning- I spoke to him and he apologized and promised to keep it quiet but he didn’t. So I spoke to the security if they can tell them to calm down and the security said that he can’t do anything as it’s the weekend! Is that normal or should they give me a noise compliance and force him to stay quiet after some time.

Just curious. Why are the ME offices always hiring? Is it because people are leaving all the time versus other regions? Or just that the business grows crazily all the time?
