Apologies for the dumb question but would appreciate any advice on how much tax withholdings I should elect.
Current situation: single, 155k base, received a 40k gross bonus (25.5k after tax). Currently I stupidly have 0 withholdings. I max out all pre- tax accounts (401k and HSA) and max my backdoor roth though I don’t think it matters here. I think I’m going to owe about $6-11k in taxes this year. I hope I’m wrong!
Next year it’ll all be the same but $190k base with 40k gross bonus. TIA
