I received an offer for a role that is a lot more money than I thought but I still want to negotiate and see how much more money I can get. What can I say if the salary is already above average for the role in the market and city I live in?

Senior engineer making 135k and I was offered a promotion to engineering manager after completing a development plan. Near the end of the plan and I expect compensation talks to start soon. Based on some research around Boston and my role in the company, I feel 165k plus 10-15% bonus is fair. Nonetheless, first time going through something like this and asking for thoughts and comments. Had an interview today, for RN OnCall position. This is an extremely difficult position, but I bring not only a preference to work the hours they need but the experience and credentials to qualify for the upper range of the salary (RN, MSN, CHPN, 5 years hospice experience). I asked for the range and he gave the range then immediately stated that I would qualify for mid range. My goal is to find a similar position to the one I’m working now and add 20-30% to my income, the high range would meet

Working Moms/Dads: Do in-house positions exist with flex time hours? I need to be able to leave work at 4pm to pick up my son from daycare, but i can get back online at home to resume any unfinished work at 8pm. Is this realistic to convey to any companies in an interview? Pandemic aside, is face time 9-7pm really important? I work as a worker’s compensation adjuster and I cannot seem to get the hand of loss of time. Been in the same role for a year. Any piece of advise? I have made several improvements but it feels like I’m dragging it out. Last question is how do you manage claims that you have not handle for months and you’re too scared to do anything.

Has anyone tried to enforce a European non-compete/non-solicit (both foreign choice of law and venue) in the US? The employee moved with the company to the US 7 years ago and was never provided with an updated agreement. Assume for the sake of argument that the agreement is enforceable in the country of origin.

I have an offer to do some consulting for a company based out of the UK (I am in the US). The job would not go through a consulting company but would be directly with the company. Any SAP analytics cloud developer here? Quick query, client wants a column root causes ..now this column is not available in S/4..now the S/4 team is not cooperative enough.

My leads suggested SAC has comments option. However comments are not going to help users either. Because it will not show graphically which root causes contribute the most.

So my question is now, does SAC have an in built excel option which would allow users to enter root causes across materials and then SAC refresh this

Got hired 3 years ago- newly created staff accountant role with the plan that it’ll go into a senior and then manager role. 1.5 years in I get a title promotion to senior, told I’ll get more duties, start supervising AP, and get monetary promotion to match next year. Got way more work, but nothing else promised within that year. Told next money bump would be manager role (no raise for senior still) and I need to take on more and start supervising AP. Again, seeing nothing…time to leave?

Do a lot of seniors in the advisory groups work weekends? I am coming from a group that has busy seasons sometimes we don't get a day off for a few weeks before the deadline. 80-100 hour weeks for me.
