I always send. Think it’s a nice touch to thank them for their time.
It may not help, but it definitely will not hurt.
Sorry, i meant to reply to the comment above previously but I disagree with your statement. It depends on the situation, if I am a great candidate who has multiple offers and your company is profiting of my labor, I would argue that I am the one in the position of power. We’re not always desperate for a job.
No harm, no foul. It indicates follow up and translates to your professional deportment
If you want the job, please send a thank you note, or I won’t know if you’re interested in the job. I am noticing a lot of people skipping the thank you note these days, which by doing one could make you stand out.
I send an email before the interview introducing myself. This has always given me interview opportunities, and then I always follow up with a thank you message or email. I think it’s courtesy, the same way I expect to be notified if I did not get the position. We’re human.
Definitely yes. Just recently read an article about interview etiquette from a head hunter/recruiting/HR panel of experts... two candidates equally qualified and preferred for the opportunity. One sent a followup thank you email, the other did not. The candidate who sent the thank you email was offered the job because the perception by the hiring manager was that if they could follow through on all aspects of the interview then they would likely follow through on all aspects of their job, while the other candidate might not be a likely to "follow through and finish the work".

How can it hurt?
I could care less. Have a cool portfolio. Be nice. That’s it. You’re hired.
They would and should always be a thing.
Why not do it if you liked the hiring manager and want the job? It’s like starting a relationship on a positive tone. If I’m going to hire you, we start a nice back and forth with some mutual excitement. If I don’t hire you, it’s done zero harm.
It made a difference for me. My hiring manager said it made me stand out. I think that's specifically because it's not as common or expected anymore. But make sure it's not cookie cut and generic. Reference something specific to the conversation you has with that person.
This shouldn’t even be a question. Absolutely send one.
MOST DEFINITELY! I designed a thank-you card on Canva to accompany mine and I got all 5 jobs I applied for.

Send one.
yes
Yes 100% and even follow up emails to check in if you don’t get the initial position.
Just do it. It may hurt you more not to. Very brief and touch on something unique to the interview then keep it moving.
Absolutely!!!!
I always send a few hours after the interview or next morning depending on the interview time.
I still receive them.
I have done both. When they want you, they will hire you even if you don’t send thank you emails. It really doesn’t matter.
Always.
