Let’s say you have PTSD and that traveling is one the triggers. At what point would you bring this up in the hiring process for a remote job when they expect you travel a handful of times a year? I’m afraid if I say anything that I’d never get hired.
Im thinking of applying to a M&A human capital role. Sits under investitures and divestitures. Is this under Deloitte’s strategy practice?
I'm looking to get into an ER mid leadership role with an international company (I want to investigate, travel and I speak Portuguese fluently), but I'm having a hard time breaking in. I'm overqualified. I'm an attorney who practiced employment law before my now 7 years of inhouse HR. My skills are a great asset for an ER role, but I'd be reporting to someone with less education, which I don't mind. But recruiters think they do. Any advice from my senior HR pros?
So for all my first generation consultants, I don’t think anything can replace that feeling you get after reciving that first offer at a big prestigious firm. Knowing you are only a couples months out of college, that all your parents sacrifices and all your hard work has finally paid off. (I’m not talking about guidehouse where I have a non-consultant role)

For cleared folks: asking for a friend, they are currently going through a TS/SCI w/Poly clearance for a different firm and it’s been a while, but they are interested in a few positions that require a secret somewhere else. If they accept the position with a Secret, will anything happen?

Hello All. Is knowledge of MLOps necessary for people having 4-5 YOE (experience not related to Data Science) for a role of Data Scientist?
Is freelancing as an account manager a thing? I’ve never come across freelance opportunities related to an account role and am curious if/which agencies might offer such opportunities and if anyone has had related experience they can share.
Anyone have any advice on how to leave tax to a more accounting/finance role? Recent S1 and wanting to leave before the Spring.
Hi 👋🏻 I’m new here! For people working in big 4 risk assurance, how many clients do you generally juggle at a time and how many hours do you typically work in a week? I just started a few months ago in an IA role for a company after working in external audit. I like the work, but it’s just not a great culture fit and I’m thinking of boomeranging back to public but for IA to get more of that experience.
Does anyone have experience as a Customer Success Manager? Can you tell me some details about the role? Pros/cons?
Hi CGI fishes, Can you please help me refer for this position id: J0821-1911 Thanks in advance
I applied for a business solutions role at Crowe through campus recruiting, however, I’ve been selected to interview for a financial crime consulting role. Anyone know why something like that would happen? Now I need to research that role 😩
What kind of consulting do post mba consultants do at EY since Parthenon is blended in now? And what’s a good reason for switching from Deloitte to EY for post mba? TIA
Really interested in women’s health, any strategic avenues in this? I would even take a pay cut to do something fulfilling in this industry. Any companies I should be following?
Would you be honest or just put something like work life balance. I have worked with really shitty people. It would be several. Like base compensation, skills not fully utilized, firm culture, communication issues, etc
Alright. You’re in the office. 2pm rolls around and you desperately need a nap. What do you do?
What is RSM maternity policy?
Hi everyone. I interviewed for a sales role at Amazon. I was told the role was an L6 and I can stay based in Chicago. Well, the recruiter emailed me today saying the hiring team felt I was better suited for an L5 role (estimated total comp is $140K-$150K) and I would have to move to Seattle. They'll send me an offer if that works. Any advice or opinions on how to negotiate? For context, I gave a desired salary range of $280K-$310K since this was an L6 role, and my current TC at P&G is $200K.
Considering going into FP&A because I hear a lot of people like it.... I haven't done much with it so trying to figure out if I'd like it or not. Is it like managerial or cost accounting classes in college? Or similar to finance classes in college (vs accounting classes)? Or anything to compare it to? I've done engagement economics analysis and budget to actual and enjoyed that, but not sure if that's even remotely similar? What's your experience been?
Family member suggested we get $80 headphones for his kids (5 and 3 years old) as holiday gift! I find this excessive! Thoughts?
Anyone think they are over-paid and hate their job but worry another company won’t hire them cause you make too much money for your position?
Hi! Need help evaluating some offers and thinking about long term growth and trajectory. Have little more than 2 YOE in consulting. Also interviewing with PwC Strategy&, but no offer yet. Curious if the Deloitte name will carry me further than ZS? Want to ultimately get an MBA in the near future. TIA! 1. Deloitte, CBO TC ~95K 2. ZS, SIP TC ~130K 3. Startup (unicorn) TC (with stock options after 1Y) ~95K
Can I jump firms without interviewing in this market? S3 with 3 years FDD experience... not really interested in more than 1 conversation to get to to know the team. To me it's not worth the stress to go through a full interview process but if I received a competitive offer quickly, then I would seriously consider switching.
Now that tips + gov fees are baked into Uber/Lyft/Food delivery apps, I’ve become much healthier and learned to cook this year! Bless all of you still in consulting who get more points cause of this though.
What would you do, if anything? A coworker with confirmed COVID19 results (asymptomatic, only lost sense of smell) refuses to wear a mask and continues to go out, even sends her toddler to daycare.
after a case interview today i realized one of the points i made in my recommendation contradicted one of my other points. in my follow up email to the interviewer should i address this and correct myself, or just let it go and not bring it up?
