I am sick of being a realtor! I've been trying for 5 years and have only sold 3 houses. Where I'm from (small Southern town) nobody is buying. Most people's families already own homes and it's just a bummer to see all these nice houses deteriorating over time.

Is this policy open? Best approach? Thoughts?

Getting disability rated…I retire next year and seeing the doc for all my issues. They’re listed in Genesis under my active issues. Does that automatically count for when I retire or do I need to get appointments addressing these issues again after meeting with the VA?

I’m a 2yr with quite frankly a lot of experience across civ rights, PI, excessive force, wrongful death, employment defense, K dispute, corp. structure dispute, professional licensure. Write every kind of brief, appeals, argue motions, take depos. Am the only associate working directly under partner on all cases. What % of settlements do you take home as an associate? Trying to gauge what I should be seeking in my next contract. Currently at 3% split prorated with all handling attys. Is this normal?

I’m currently discontent with my income.
(3rd year. Salary=80k and no performance incentive. I brought in $1.4mm AFTER partners claimed over half of fees on my big cases.)
I see CJL offers an incentive+ base but I’m curious about that structure.
Any good or bad firm culture to speak of?
Is it impossible to actually earn a respectable incentive bonus?
Am I going to have some partner come cut me out of any cases where I might actually make a solid fee?
