Where/ how can I learn Azure?
So I've had 2 hiring managers and several recruiters from Amazon reach out to me about applying for some open positions with the company (android). I completed the coding assessment and now they want me to go through a round of 5 hour interviews next week. Is there a good chance I'll be hired if engineering managers are reaching out to me? I'm really not sure how badly I want to work for them and I don't want to be laid off months after being hired on. Anyone know what Amazon hiring is like?

The nature of what we do is that of course it can be copied.. just like they might think you copied it. As a hiring manager those are moot points because none of this work is reinventing the wheel. You should do it, it shows proactivity and gives you an edge
Okay so 2 years ago I would've said so it in small bits and use loads of commits, small PRs asking the way so they know you built it organically.
But now... hiring companies WANT TO SEE how well you can just use your AI coding agent to get stuff done.
Build something real. Build something fun.
Your concerns aren't entirely baseless - i have the same worries. That doesn't make it reasonable to act with them as deciding factors though.
Your concerns are baseless.
The good:
Firstly, your repo would just make interviewing you much easier because I can look at your material, and ask you tough questions about it in person; if you answer correctly, then you are both not a liar, and at the same time, awesome work!
Secondly, copy for what? Instead of hiring you? Implementation is way easier (and cheaper) than maintenance.
However, the bad thing is that interviewers don't get as far as looking at your repo; either you pass ATS and you are in front of a person (read: camera), or you don't. And ATS doesn't look at repos.
