If your goung to do insurance, IUL's and Annuities are great to sell and highly lucrative. I wouldn't do auto and home.
@Senior Underwriter 1: it’s all depending on your unique situation as any other financial solution. Whole life is a game changer for the right person and when it’s well designed. If interested, make sure you get from a professional who truly cares and shows interest on you and your family. Someone willing to take the time to learn about you and your finances before making you a recommendation.
I’ve been in the industry for 4 years and I love it. I’m on personal lines and I have struggle as any other agent however, I d found my way and my system and I consistently make good money every month, and you can too.
it’s all about identifying your approach, how you present yourself and understanding your products. It’s an easy business if you focus on the right things. It’s ok to feel discouraged but don’t let that beat you up. There is a lot of money to be made here and relationships to build.
1. Complete all your training asap
2. Read and learn all your products fact sheets
3. Become securities registered (6,7,63,65, whatever your firm offers you, get it)
4. Learn about investing strategies, annuities, rollovers, everything about retirement, LTC, mutual funds, DCA, etc.
