So I've had 2 hiring managers and several recruiters from Amazon reach out to me about applying for some open positions with the company (android). I completed the coding assessment and now they want me to go through a round of 5 hour interviews next week. Is there a good chance I'll be hired if engineering managers are reaching out to me? I'm really not sure how badly I want to work for them and I don't want to be laid off months after being hired on. Anyone know what Amazon hiring is like?

Any ideas on the pay range for the US Regional Meetings Lead Amgen? I’ve been agency based for quite a long time. I have worked with Amgen previously, currently serving another pharma, but looking to make the leap to the client side. Trying to see if the pay would be worth it at this juncture.

I’m in LS and have averaged ~60 hours a week for 2.5 years and hit 80 hours maybe twice. There are other reasons why LEK is not my favorite but the sweatshop rep is slightly overblown IMO. Other practice areas are a little worse tho
What is the average TC at the Associate Consultant position?
Agree it varies, but sweatshop reputation is mostly overblown. LS practice does not do as many DDs as rest of our firm, which helps. In the last year I’ve been on one 2.5 week DD, and that was only due to a last minute case delay. I’ve probably averaged 50 hrs / week in the last 2 months, but there are definitely stretches where I average 65-70.
Thanks everyone, I just accepted an offer to join the Munich office - it seemed like the best fit I could ask for but I was nervous about the hours. I think I’ll be just fine!
Thanks! What you observed might be true of the partners I connected with - 3/3 German, including one in Edinburgh remote to London. Of the 3 consultants/managers who interviewed me, none were German (IT/UK/CA) - the Brit was in London, the others were in Munich. Fwiw it seems like there is a significant amount of cross staffing with the London office, as has been the case at EY and Guidehouse where I was previously…
Depends on the project. I’m also in LS. I’ve been averaging 50-55hrs for the past couple of weeks. Project before that was about the same. But I’ve definitely been on projects before where I was hitting ~60hrs consistently.
