Yes you should wear a tie, but donât be surprised if your interviewer doesnât .
No tie, just a layer of thick skin mixed with arrogance and youâll be golden!
I thought Patagonia vest was the bcg uniform?
Wear a tie and a suit. You want to look clean, but not draw attention to your attire: so nothing loud.
And the office culture is such that everyone wears shirt + blazer with no tie (and jeans and such on Fridays) so yes, your interviewer may be in more relaxed attire than you are. But it's important for us to know that you can suit up for a C-suite meeting, so almost everyone will expect interviewees to wear a suit and look polished.
Good luck!
^ you're thinking of Bain.
I wore a tie for first round (on campus), but skipped out for final rounds. Don't think it matters either way. Sounds like you'll have less anxiety about just wearing one though.
Just wear one
Wear a tie itâs pretty normal for interviewees. Once you get here though itâs very rare outside of FS and the odd board meeting to wear one
Interviews are business professional
Wear a suit and tie. Full business attire for interviews. Anything else at least raises eyebrows even if it doesnât really drive your performance
Good luck!
Thanks for all your replies BCG đ !!!
Dress for the job you want, not the job you have
OP what firm are you going into BCG from?
Wondering what the Manager and Senior Manager equivalent at BCG is
Project Leader and Principal. If you donât have significant time in role though, itâs common to take a step back when you lateral. This is to your benefit though, as you only really have 18-24 months to be promotion ready and it gives you more runway
Thanks. Is it normal for a Deloitte Manager up for promotion to Senior Manager come in at the Senior Associate level?
