I'm new to investing :
2 questions
1 - where should I invest my Deloitte 401k in ? Is the vanguard institutional 500 index trust a good place to just put my 401k and forget about it.
2 - I recently opened a fidelity account and have savings I want to invest and want to invest a small percentage every paycheck without worrying about trading it . What's the safest place to invest in and not worry about it for the next 10 years ? VOO? QQQ?

It was a great read. He’s simply stating one message: indexing is the way to go.
It’s a rather long book for essentially one message but it was his strategy.
I am sure his net worth is way more than $1.5m knowing the reach of his book alone.

I’ve read most of the books above, they all have some good nuggets of advice and insights and are a good foundational resources. In the least they should all inspire you to take action with your $. I’m now at a point where I’m focused on topics that are important and of interest to me and follow those specialized newsletters/thought leaders. I’ve noticed a crop of young millennial investors on social media gaining traction and sharing new stuff that is even new to me - think it’s awesome they all happen to be women also and men can also benefit: your.richbff and herfirst100k etc

He pushes people to his recommended financial advisors. That costs money and people using index funds don’t need that. He says put some in the SP 500 but the rest in growth funds that beat the market. He suggests you should expect a 12% return. He is not a passive index fund guy. As I said he is very good if you want to get out of debt but I have no use for his investment advice.

Try a few different ones. I simply YouTube audio books like the ones mentioned. Too dry to actually read. Just plug in your headphones and go workout or run.
Automatic Millionaire, Compound Effect, Simple Path to Wealth, Millionaire Fastlane….
Currently reading the Richest Man in Babylon. It’s alright.
YouTube. Anything Peter Lynch, Warren Buffet and Bill Ackerman. I love watching the short video channels. Digestible insights each time.

That list concerns me based on the first book listed. But there are several other good options on the list.
