Hi Everybody,
I'm currently working as an outsource in Rapid Metro as Technical Assistant/Civil. I earned a Master degree in Water Resource Engineer after B.Tech in Civil Engineering. Due to Covid 19 I took job back in Civil sector even though I have a masters degree in WRE. It's been almost 6 months of constant applying and rejection and still I'm nowhere close to a job in my dream branch which is the Water sector.Im hopeful that through this portal I may find an entry level position in water
does FAANG care about cloud certs?

Got a random email from a supposed Amazon recruiter for a SDE position (which is not at all a fit). The email is amazon.com domain and there are no red flags in the body but it doesn't feel like an Amazon recruiter due to the tacky signature, etc. Has anyone seen this kind of cold-calling from FAANG recruiter?

Lots of major companies are moving to scrum, not just tech dev. It’s more than a style of constant iteration in dev work. It’s adds significant help to meetings and addressing issues quickly vs everyone throwing ideas at a problem
Lol DD1 and EY3. They don't necessarily care if you have CSMs but if they know anything about agile and then you're not following an agile process, you end up embarrassing your team and firm. Up to you but we get a lot of credibility on our gigs because we truly follow scrum for dev in most cases. And when we have less experienced teams who SAY they're doing "sprints" but really are just doing work haphazardly, it really comes though during demos.
HBS MBA YOU LOSER
These are all stupid. I love when people list half a dozen of them all out in their email signature like they're a Medical Doctor.
McK1, shit totally forgot about that cert. I'll add that to my list of considerations.
No one cares...just learn the jargon. No one follows any process anyways
PMP is solid
CSM is the most practical of those. PMP is ok if you don't know how to organize, but is wildly ridiculous about their insistent on memorizing their idiotic PMBOK process inputs, outputs
CSM is a joke
Thanks boss
It's never truly agile in consulting my friend
I just got a scrum master cert after 20 mins of taking an online test. Don't feel like I really get it. Guess it doesn't matter.
🤔👂🏽
I've been on an agile build project for a couple years, so I'm well aware of the process
Lol I thought PMP was shit and a joke. Maybe ok for Federal
Six sigma is the lamest of all of these.
These are all federal lolol
Wrong about CSM. If you're on agile dev projects it's essential. Not useful to you otherwise though
^Even in non-federal space?
Agile cert like PMI ACP
PMP my ass
Yes even in commerical. Have a major bank client now who is considering staffing based partially on whether team lead has CSM. More useful in commercial really because govt is terrible about actually following agile processes.
