Any in-house counsel in here willing to post their company, level or YOE, and total comp breakdown? If you’re comfortable, please consider posting both your current stats and what your stats were when you first moved in-house. If there’s any other information that you want to share, please include that too (e.g., hours, interesting perks, etc.). Info on in-house salaries is pretty hard to come by, and it would be great to compile some data points here! Facebook Amazon Google Netflix Apple

Depends on your brands, but for me it’s a yes. The free Delta Skyclub membership, $200 Uber credit, and $200 airline incidental credit already cover the cost. On top of that, the 1:1 Amex points to Delta miles, and partnership with SPG are big pluses. I live in Brooklyn, and we have a Centurion suite at Barclays, so I get suite access with cheap seat tix to any event, and their concierge service has helped me secure reservations/tickets to extremely exclusive restaurants/events.
Chase Reserve. So worth it.
Might be worth it just to get both
The other benefit of Amex is that you can link your Amex corporate card to the personal card. When you do that, the points you earn with the corporate card automatically get deposited with your personal balance. IMO, having one large pool of points is better than two smaller ones.
Platinum Amex especially if you can swing the 100K sign up bonus.
EY1- what’s the deal with Barclays
M1- it applies for any arena with a Centurion suite.m (LA has one too). The skinny is that as long as you have a valid event ticket, and are a platinum card holder, you can access the Suite. It’s on a first come, first serve basis, and you can bring a guest with you. There s a check in desk by the elevators to the suite level.
I’ve used it to cheaply attend events like Nets games, Jay-Z, and Summer Slam- it’s a good deal.
OP, can you use your own card for work travel or corporate card? If Corp card only, unpopular opinion here, but I have CSR and Plat, but will likely be dropping/product changing both as my Uber card provides more value based on straight calculations. *Does not account for value of partner transfers for high value redemptions (e.g. int'l bus/first)
Consultant 1 how'd you get the annual fee waived? I need that!
Which Amex?
Looking at Amex Platinum or Chase Reserve to be more specific
I have CSR and spg amex
CSR is a no brainer - everyone should have it. If you live in or travel often to an airport that has the centurion lounge, I would get both the CSR and the Amex Platinum.
I’m super happy with my AmEx platinum. The Priority Pass membership alone (access to at least one lounge in just about any airport in the world) almost makes it worth it alone.
CSR without a doubt. Only benefit to Amex is lounge access
Also consider the Uber Visa card - it’s free and has 4% on travel, would recommend getting it in any case since it’s free.
CSR is the best all-around travel card (hopefully they bring back the 100k bonus).
Amex platinum here. Check out the credit card forums on flyertalk.com and thepointsguy.com where people do credit card points and perks professionally
I agree CSR is the better card by far, but went with Amex Gold to get a single pool of points with the corporate card. 3x for flights, 2x gas, restaurants, and groceries, 1x everything else. Plus $100 airline credit per year. Got a targeted offer for waived annual fee for 2 years and 50k sign-up bonus. Once the 2 years are up I'll have to decide between Amex Platinum and CSR.
It was an offer that came in the mail. I believe the standard is to waive the fee the first year and I've seen 50k sign-up bonus offer online fairly frequently (I believe standard is 25k).
