Better for long term career goal and happiness: Large CPG analytics, or post-MBA consultant at boutique? I am extremely torn. I value work-life balance very much, is all consulting horrible for it? If I want to work in product development/marketing long term (I love idea of food/bev but not married to it), does it make more sense to just get right into the CPG world with great WLB? Or is it potentially better to take a role in a brand/marketing boutique then exit later when burnt out?

How do I best prep / study up for a brandside Marketing Manager role? (My background is in agency account management)

I have accepted an offer for the role of Director of Data Science & Analytics and I'll be working with old colleagues. I am very excited. I haven't given notice yet because I am waiting for the background check to complete, but my boss just asked me about traveling to a meeting in November. I start at the new job Oct 25. I work as a worker’s compensation adjuster and I cannot seem to get the hand of loss of time. Been in the same role for a year. Any piece of advise? I have made several improvements but it feels like I’m dragging it out. Last question is how do you manage claims that you have not handle for months and you’re too scared to do anything.

I want out of advertising. The highs are so high, but the lows are too low. No amount of money or creative fulfillment is worth simply coexisting with my husband or fearing that I can’t have kids because of a JOB. Now that my rant is over — I’m struggling knowing where to go next. I LOVE brand strategy, and want to leverage that skill set in a healthier industry with more work/life balance. Are you aware of the CPA exam credit extension to 2021 for NY CPA candidates impacted by COVID19? It’s on a person-by-person basis and you need to request the extension. Has anyone tried doing this yet? Can anyone shine more light on this? The extension would really help me, but I’m not sure what more to tell them in my email than the fact that I couldn’t sit for the exams this Spring/Summer due to test centers closing in NYC.
