Hello everyone! I recently pivoted from working in advertising to working at an early-stage fintech startup. I'm looking to speak with business finance leaders who manage corporate cash and credit lines for their companies to learn more about your tools and your approach to cash management. I'll buy you lunch/coffee for your time.
If interested shoot me an email me at kathryn@crescent.app! And thank you!!

After a particularly draining week I will lock myself in my room all weekend to read, study, work and just be generally productive and happy. Trying to limit my socializing to 1 major thing per weekend (like a brunch) so I have sufficient down time to recharge
I take a slightly different approach, weekend is actually particularly important for me to socialize with people I care deeply about (who also support me emotionally) and go out to live new experiences, which helps to put work into perspective and reduces the overall stress I place on work. I’d hate to not being able to experience the weekend in an energizing way.
I think that by definition, extroverted shit sucks the energy out of introverted people.
So, you’re (we’re) basically fucked in that regard.
However, you may be able to make some of these things more informal which can reduce the energy drain. (?)
To help manage my energy, I avoid team outings and go maybe only 1 time every 2-3 weeks. Need my time alone even during the week
I am struggling with this as well, especially with an extroverted SO who works from home and only further drains my energy when I get home from work 😞 no tips yet but I am definitely trying to figure out a solution...
One of the things that is most oddly energizing to me after a draining week is watching really dark/dystopian material on the plane.
One episode of Black Mirror, and I come back feeling super refreshed and ready to face the world. I think it’s because I get to go deep into imagination space with the bonus of “coming back” to a reality that sucks waaaay less than what I was just watching.
I take extended bathroom breaks or short walks throughout the day
Enjoy the weekend!
I breakup the evenings with podcasts, comedy, or reading. Find what brings you to your comfortable place and see if that help. Mediation maybe a good option as well
Thank you all. Helpful to know that I am not alone.
