Depends on the tools available and the team. There’s no one way to do things.
It’s different for everyone, I always ask the creatives:
-what kind of meeting structure they prefer (daily stand ups, weekly, 2x weekly, etc) also hot sheets! Daily/weekly
-how they best work through feedback
-if they want me to set up creative-only internals (before the main team) or if they’ll handle setting up
-if they need a little more checking in or are more self-sufficient with their priorities
-what kind of work they enjoy working on and what they’d like to learn!
Take these as you will but just a jumping off point.

Work with your creative leads on this. Plan it together.
Have due dates ready as soon as possible. Be honest, but explain. some creatives have really fragile egos. the good ones aren’t so precious about ideas, I’ll have another one, it’s fine. I just want an understanding of why things don’t work so I can fix it. Don’t send a million messages when we’re busy. I will go on Do Not Disturb. Please ask if I have time to chat before you call. Learn adobe file types. I think this would help if everyone in agencies would learn this. Overestimate how long things take. I’d love to get it in early if possible, makes us all look better. However communication with your creative team will def help your success. Each creative team is diff as well as each agency is different
