Can anyone explain what a "Phone Reimbursement" is? I see all these EY people complaining, but I thought phone data, text, and calls were free?

Cutting our phone allowance effectively means my raise was nullified.

like

PwC is different, the company pays your bills, EY doesn't pay ours, we pay them individually and we get reimbursed for a portion, which just became a much smaller portion

like

We have to pay for our own phone service and we previously received a reimbursement for it. $75 staff, $100 senior, $150 manager. And I think it even went higher for higher ranks. Now everybody in the firm receives a max of $60.

like

I think that is an invitation to shut off your work e-mail off hours. I just hope it doesn't come to us :( I guess you could look at other firms if it is that important we are usually looking for experienced hires :)

like

Can seniors at KPMG get their own devices connected to email? When I was there the answer was no. At D&T my bill is like 45 and I can run thru 80%

like

Dang guess PwC has it pretty good on this one. The bill and phone discounts are a nice perk

like

You only got a $480 post tax raise???

like

Hahaha we receive absolutely zero at KPMG until you are a manager.

Yeah you can. They just won't reimburse you for anything. I have email on my phone but it's for my convenience only and as such I don't use it to reply to emails.

Interesting KPMG 1. God they were so backwards tech wise and still are. No offense. They were still good auditors but wow.

Some KPMG teams get reimbursed and some don't - BTS only manager and above, M&A is everyone - assuming advisory folks have staff reimbursed as well. Everyone can have access to mobile apps on their phone though, regardless of reimbursement

Staff Auditor 1, I had a$150 monthly allowance

Damn, but still $90x12=$1,080. Even 3 rated staff 1s got a 5% raise on 50k so 2,500. Sounds like Ey screwed you twice. On the raise and the cell phone

RSM pays $25 😑
