Can anyone recommend books, courses, and other resources that will upskill my comms planning knowledge?

(I’m agency side, but moving client side soon as a comms planner)

Just a question for those here. What does anyone see as a job outlook for a pharmacy technician that has 15 years of experience and is studying for the CPhT? I would like to return to 100% remote work and, understandably, most job postings that are about my caliber are requiring the cert. I am thinking of possibly pivoting into an IT job that would be fully remote later on down the road, but I’m interested in seeing what is possible now (and an average pay) for someone with my experience.

Those of you who left for industry, what do you work towards in your role? I was reflecting on my time in public and there was always something, whether it was a new section in the file, getting more client contact, getting invited to a big golf outing, running the jobs, managing the jobs, etc. I worry that leaving would leave me bored and not motivated to hit any sort of goal. I’ve been so many places where everyone throws around comms planning, connections planning, and channel planning (and others) interchangeably. But then some folks say there’s nuance. Is there?

Anyone else think that there is a major difference in the skill sets of a Connections Planner and a Comms Planner? They’re often used interchangeably, and either should be able to “stretch” and cover media or creative broadly. But the depth of knowledge is completely different. IMO

I’m struggling a bit. Can any kind of person show me awesome examples of comms plans that really lifted the creative idea? I learn best by seeing examples or case studies. I can explain below...
