Let’s talk about wrongful termination. The other day I was fired in the middle of the day without any warning. My colleagues called me because they were confused on why the Talent Manager dismissed me from the chat. I didn’t know what they were referring to. So I called my PM to ask what was happening, and she said that she just got off the phone with the TM and said they were terminating my contract on the spot due to me speaking up about micromanaging. No explanation just kicked out. Advice?

I started a full time in-house design job that pays extremely well. I barely have to work at all. This makes me very confused since I kept hearing stories of people working 60+ hr weeks as designers at ad agencies. I am not complaining, but I have this creeping irrational feeling that I’ll get fired for not working even though there’s nothing for me to do. Should i be making up projects or asking for more work? What’s your work-life balance like? Anyone deal with this before: I inherited a severely under developed team including a sr analyst who clearly was doing the bare minimum, if that. Over the last 6 months I have had to coach him and correct simple mistakes in his work and recently it got so bad that I told him he would receive a low rating in his evaluation. Hi all, I have a question regarding retirement accounts. I am not sure if I should choose a Roth or 401k (company has 4+2% match). Currently 23, base salary is ~100k and investments have brought 45k this year which has me teetering between a 22-24% tax bracket. Wondering what the usual tax bracket is of people retired (around 65yo) as I’m not sure anything would bring in significant income with the exception of investments. In my case would a Roth make sense? Appreciate any answers!!
