Can someone recommend some recourses (books, podcasts, experts to follow, etc.) where it’s clearly explained for beginners? Trying to make sense of 401Ks, Roth IRAs, emergency funds etc.

Hi all, had a situation I need some help with. PE fund owned interest in a bank that was a CFC that has 965 PTEP. Recently sold off part of it's interest and the bank is no longer considered a CFC. Under the new PFIC regs, I believe it qualifies as a PFIC. How would distributions be treated seeing as it would still qualify as a specified foreign corp?

Hi-I have 120K in cash in HYSA. After keeping emergency fund aside. Still have 75-80K available that I plan to invest. After 401k, HSA, IRA and monthly expenses: we are left with 6K every month. So investing 12K every month in market. My worry is with that rate - it will take us 12-14 months to move the extra 75-80K mentioned above. However do not want to make a bulk move. Why would you ever want to rollover your 401K into an IRA? It seems like doing so would essentially prevent you from successfully being able to do a IRA to Backdoor Roth IRA conversion due to the pro-rata rule. Am I missing something? Wouldn’t you always want to just rollover your old 401Ks to your new 401K?
