Anyone have tips for industry interviews for a tax role, but with folks from cross functional teams (e.g., corporate development and legal)? What kind of questions should I expect?

Why do companies do this? I interviewed with a company. They loved my work and told me that I’m going to start the following week. They made me sign all of the onboarding papers and poof ghosted me! 🤦‍♀️ I feel so down right now! And I feel like I won’t be able to ever land a job!

I accepted my Amazon offer on 5/23 via email as told by the recruiter who also took down my social via telephone and send me a old school pdf to fill out for a my background screening. At the time we decided on 6/13 as the start date. On 6/3 I received an email from Amazon’s version of docusign to sign my offer, and yesterday 6/8 I was notified by the recruiter that my start date would be delayed to 6/20 due to background not being completed. Any idea what is going on.

Should all the on-site interviews have a feedback of "hire/ strong hire" in order to proceed to HC?

He told that my resume will be forwarded to hiring manager.i was told If I gets shortlisted , I would receive a link to fill candidature by evening. Still no response. After that I got call from hr and said my interview is scheduled on next week and very next day one person called me and asked few technical questions .she said she's calling from infosys and this is technical screening round . Today same hr called and said she will be scheduling a client interview.
