Hi All,
Looking to make the move from working in industry to big4 and was curious as to what level and pay I might be worth?
I have 10 years experience out of uni, as well as completed CPA and MBA. I have a experience in managing entire finance function of small/medium entities, but most notably solid corporate finance experience/strategy leading refinance exercises, debt raising, hedging/treasury strategy etc…Would be looking for something in deal advisory / M&A / CFO advisory etc….thanks Deloitte EY PwC @

I am a L5 PM technically in “engineering services” but my role is to launch new buildings. Non technical. My TC is 145.
I don’t know L6 comp nor my standing within L5. I was told when I negotiated my offer that my TC is within the top end of the band but who knows
L7 Product in Fulfillment Ops/Tech.
Ops Program at L6, comp in years 1-2 is likely 180k then 3-4 climbs to 225k+. (Broadly)
If you are Product-Tech it’s higher but very market dependent, Seattle was balloark another 20k
Yeah, I wouldn’t compare levels between those two roles. Apples to oranges. Any roles at Amazon to do with operations and retail side have significantly lower comp and different comp structures compared to engineering. A lot of times such roles don’t get offered RSUs or the same signing bonuses, refresher RSUs or performance raise / bonuses. Same case at google for ads, front line sales folks, account managers, etc roles, and similar at Facebook. A lot of folks attribute all roles at big tech as being lucrative, but it’s usually only roles around software, product, strategy & ops, corp dev and business development to a certain degree which pay a lot. Generally 200-300k total comp yearly for level 5 across FAANG
And I was giving a range across those roles. Generally the comps you talk of strictly focus on technical product and software engineering. The other roles I mentioned end up making a lot higher in stock comp because they are strategic in nature and not individual contributor roles.
Engineering and Supply chain don’t make the same. “L5” is a set of responsibilities expectations that is generally constant per organization with minor changes. Pay is dependent on what org you’re in.
L5 eng TC is about 300k. A bit less
