Hi Everybody,
I'm currently working as an outsource in Rapid Metro as Technical Assistant/Civil. I earned a Master degree in Water Resource Engineer after B.Tech in Civil Engineering. Due to Covid 19 I took job back in Civil sector even though I have a masters degree in WRE. It's been almost 6 months of constant applying and rejection and still I'm nowhere close to a job in my dream branch which is the Water sector.Im hopeful that through this portal I may find an entry level position in water

Yeah it’s quite possible. I hope you recover quickly - consider wearing an N95 mask when sharing air with others outside your household while cases remain sky high
Please get boosted. It makes a big difference.
A4 and EY2 - this is from family experience. Two of us, roughly the same age, got it at the same time. The other one isn’t boosted. They have a major fever, fatigue, and very bad headache. Out of work for more than a week. Not quite hospital worthy, but close. I had none of those and I could have easily worked had I not been on vacation already. So take that for what it’s worth, but the conclusion I draw is the booster turned a bad situation into a head cold.
Anecdotally speaking, I know someone who is currently sitting with their 3rd covid infection
Rising Star
So many overachievers here...
Had a viral infection 2/3 weeks after Covid (same with my sister) did not test positive. It’s probably just a normal viral bug with your immune system vulnerable and it being middle of winter. Do whatever you did during Covid, took 5 days for this infection to pass. Tired of being sick ha
Sure you can if that's what is happening.
You can get Omnicron if you've had Delta previously, you're 4.4x protected from Delta if you had Omnicron previously (according to S African data)

4.4x increase in delta virus neutralization
There were some reports, not sure how relevant now, that Omicron helps protect in some way against Delta but who knows. We shall see
Consult a doctor. This isn’t web md. Bye.
Stay safe and wait the 3 months needed but definitely get the booster. My friend was double vaxed but not boosted and still landed in the hospital.
Problem is, you won’t know which variant you got. I mean you can guess, but your test results won’t tell you.

Delta for me was the gift that kept giving - cough became bronchitis then a full 25 days of walking pneumonia. Never tested positive during the other illnesses, but was almost 3 months of crap.
But
Even after booster I still think anything’s possible and that includes Omicron.
Yeh, I’ve had both. The gap wasn’t as small, but I had Delta in September and Omnicron in late December
I JUST read an article on this. Will find
Omg thank you Amazon1! That was bugging me
As viruses mutate, they are more contagious and less virulent. Where I am, everyone is sick, vaxxed and unvaxxed. It’s either cold or flu symptoms. The vaccine is showing to have side effects, no one is discussing that. There are some studies that will no longer be found on the internet that stated the vaccine is causing the mutation to become resilient to the vaccine and natural immunity. Either way, it’s really not bad at this point.
I got Covid in august and then Covid again now. The first time was after two vaccine shots, the symptoms were mild but I didn’t have a sore throat or chest pain. This time around I have a sore throat, chest pain and wet cough in addition to other symptoms like cold, chills, fatigue that I had the last time. I’m so tired of this disease. Feeling so low because of it. All I know is, Iv got to be extra cautious going forward. N95, sanitize and hand wash constantly.
People I traveled with the two times I fell sick did not test positive. Really makes me think there is something wrong with me hahah.
Pro
Yes, I’ve read of stories similar to yours. Not many, but it has happened, yes.
Yes, there are many articles that state previous infections don’t exempt you from Omicron.
Vaccines help ease the symptoms, not stop the spread.
Even people with Omicron msg be at risk of catching it again.
How would you know if you have delta or omicron?
If you haven’t gotten tested you don’t rule out the flu. I know quite a few people with the flu right now. Hope you feel better soon.
I just had a friend test positive for COVID (presumably Omicron) after having COVID 1.5 months ago
