In my previous company , two teammates had a physical fight at clinets restroom. They both got warning, rolled off from project
Serious code violations.
I'm gonna guess sexual harassment or stealing IP/data for that ATK guy
I had a team member that tried fighting another member at the client site. It was unreal. The instigator only got written up by HR......
Of course. I have fired an associate off a project and asked them to leave the laptop with the client team and not come back.
Spoke with HR, Legal and office lead; agreed on a decision and called them aside to ask exactly what I mentioned - to leave the laptop and client materials and not come back. HR has dealt with the paperwork afterwards, so I assume they had an exit interview, were paid their due salary/PTO etc....
Fired for cause absolutely. If your on an engagement and utilized your probably not in the firing range for cost cutting layoffs though

No not the same fight. The agitator was a cranky dude who didn't care where or who he was talking smack to. He once was talking smack to police and I had to pull him away. Surprised he didn't get tazed
Yeah. They will generally put you on the bench before doing so, though.

Is this really a question? Did you not read the clause that says we can fire you for anything or nothing and alternatively you can quit on the same terms.
