Turn on news. Read CDCs latest study. Answer is yes

Yes. Source: me. Didn’t get covid first time around, got vaccinated, got covid recently. Assume it’s delta. Mild cold symptoms. Husband same boat, had fatigue, fever, muscle aches for a few days.

Covid symptoms could be 100 other things. All the stuff that existed and made humans sick before are still around! Colds, flu etc. And yes, you can get infected with COVID too while vaccinated.

like

I had a bunch of symptoms recently that pointed to covid but got tested twice and it wasn’t. There’s hope!

like

Get tested if you can (and feel better soon!). The more we can track transmission, the better.

Yes. The vaccine was never supposed to make you immune. It reduces your likelihood of transmission and if you are infected it reduces the severity of symptoms making it extremely unlikely you’ll need to be hospitalized

here's my prediction. If Biden wins, the media will begin to message the following; -The worst COVID risks and outcomes are to people with identifiable risk factors such as obesity and diabetes. -Most other people who catch it will experience a bad flu. -Many other people who catch it won't even know they have it. -It's not commonly transmitted by touching objects and person to person transmittal is low risk except in close contact. The media will then message that we should; (cont'd)

Hey friends - I’m currently on a brief medical leave (~1 month) and my management has been contacting me quite regularly by phone and email without notice for different documentation and admin processes relating to the leave. It’s basically taking up as much time as my regular work. Not sure what is reasonable here as I would really like to focus on healing and just deal with it when I’m back…isn’t that the point? What are my rights here?

Need recommendations for things to do tonight and tomorrow night in Boston. I am on-site - Boston downtown till Thursday. First time in Boston. I will most probably be solo (may be 1-2 coworkers but not sure). Want to explore the bar scene, and meet random people (like it used to be before COVID). I know most night clubs are closed on weeknights, so looking for next best thing. M, 30s. Tia.

In the past two weeks my work has picked up 10x what it was previously. Now I’m working 70+ hr weeks and often my projects are submitted nearly before deadline since I’m shuffling multiple at once. My team is understaffed and there’s no plan to hire people due to COVID-19. How do you manage to tackle the day instead of let it tackle you? I feel like no one knows how much I’m suffering since I’m WFH’ing and try to relay positive emotions over FaceTime or messages.

Has anyone here had a breakthrough Covid case who also received the Moderna vaccine? Anecdotally - went to a small wedding last weekend and a TON of the guests are testing positive for Covid now. Everyone at my table has symptoms or a positive test at this point - except me. I had a negative test and got moderna. They all received Pfizer. Other guests at different tables are seeing the same thing, including married couples with different vaccinations.
