Are you entering your time? I don’t understand how you wouldn’t know this when it’s up to you to track/enter it each day.
I dictate all my entries and a secretary enters them in. But to get a bonus at the end of the year you have to get over a certain number so that’s why I want to keep track. We only get print outs at the end of the month, of how much we billed.
What program do you use for billing? You should be able to go back and see your entries.
That's insane lol. Have you tried asking your secretary? Or maybe write your time before dictating it so you can keep track. I'd die if that was my system lol

Every firm I’ve been at has had decent time keeping programs. I can see all of my time/matters since I started at the firm and run reports on it as well.
Most billing softwares allow you to generate a time report for any period of time. Many firms also send digital reports or have them available within their intranet site. If all you get is paper, scan it into your computer and email it to yourself so you have it in a few places for reference.
I can access this really easily and see the total as I’m entering time for the day, but my husband’s firm’s system is a black box that eats his entries and he has to ask for monthly reports if he wants them. He keeps notes in excel as he enters time so he can track his hours himself / know if he’s hitting his daily target or if he needs to adjust to catch up.
Wow that’s insane. If they want you to bill they should make it easy to know where you stand
I enter my own time.
My firm’s billing software’s home screen is a calendar that shows me what I billed every day, with my totals on the bottom.
