They are a good starting point to learn the basics and the lingo! Also, it’s a good way to learn how these exams are structured if you’re not familiar with the way AWS or MS exams work. Once you’ve done that, you can look through the more specialized certificates at the associate level. Udemy is a really good study resource and a lot of their material is almost always on sale if you are looking for what to study!

Even if you don’t take the exam the content for the certifications is a good way to get yourself familiar with the concepts. There are 3-4 hour long videos on you tube - if you search for AWS CCP you will find them.

Hey y'all, kind of a two part question: 1. I enjoy the people management more than individual contributor stuff. What career paths do you see in our industry for people who are managing support engineering teams? 2. What certifications are valued today? Seems like being a AWS Cloud Practitioner is a good general one, but are there others that stand out?

I have 10 years of experience. Mostly in Unix, C++ and Visual C++ and MS SQL. I developed interest in cloud computing as like many others and was able to clear AWS Cloud Practitioner, AWS Solution Architect Associate and Professional, AWS Security. Along with these I was able to clear 8 Azure certifications as well: 3 fundamentals, Azure Security, Azure Developer, Azure DevOps and Azure Architect. Now my main question, can I try to switch on Cloud Architect or some other similar cloud roles?

Hey all, would love some advice. I’m a Business Analyst with 5 YOE and minimal technical skills. And I’m really unhappy where I’m at. Very underpaid, and feel like I’m limited in job opportunities. I want to become more technical but no idea where to even start! I was thinking about starting with a certification but most seems really tough to learn as a newbie. Any guidance/advice on which certs to look at? Was thinking AWS cloud practitioner as a starting point? Any help welcomed!!
