Beware of "leaders" who make hypocritical statements like that. If they want the trust of their employees, they must earn it. Leaders who earn the trust of their employees will gain a workforce that will work harder for them. If the leaders don't trust their employees, 1) they are not leaders, they are micromanagers and 2) the workforce will leave to find a better company to work for.
At the end of the day there’s just more respectful ways to monitor productivity than treating employees like inventory

That is a crazy level of micromanaging…safe to assume they’re monitoring your emails and mouse movements as well for productivity
