crazy story. need help.

i recently quit my job and have been coming into the office to fulfill my remaining duties. boss man has been trying to get me to stay with promise of early promo and more comp but i’ve been steadfast in leaving for a better opportunity. i’ve loved learning from them, but i’m heading a new direction

fast forward to this week. after halloween i was enjoying candy while working and absolutely guzzled down 3 of the 4 jolly ranchers i was snacking on (one of each flavor)

This is the great resignation, right? Thoughts on jumping for the fourth time in seven years? I’m chasing the pay to get to where I want to be and have an offer but am getting reservations on making a move within a year. Appreciate any similar personal experience.

I work in field sales as an IC. My aspirational career path is to end up in people leadership. Recently, an Inside management position opened up that’s been brought to my attention by the hiring director. Question is, is going back Inside the right move to get into started in leadership? Or should I continue down the field path and wait until those field management slots open up?

Currently awaiting an offer for a new sales role. Salary somewhere between 100-120, OTE 160-200 depending on base. I intend to ask about annual merit increases and what they have been previously, but was wondering if anyone had ever negotiated an annual increase based on inflation in addition to any performance based merit increases. Seems like a smart way to protect myself while times are so volatile and not get stuck with the typical 3% when inflation is 8+. Thoughts?

One of the reasons I want to transition from industry to consulting (tier 1) is that I get frustrated when I have to collaborate with mediocre people. My assumption is that Tier 1 consulting firms hire really sharp people and if I can get in, I’ll be collaborating with folks on top of their game (not expecting much from clients). I’m aware there are personal aspects I need to work on like my mindset, patience etc etc, but I just get so frustrated with blatant stupidity.

Big4 has clear trajectory and interesting work.

F100 has 14% bonus, perm remote, and immediate vesting 401k over 7%.
