Curious to know if there are other people at WB Burbank struggling with going back to work. They want us back 3 days a week. Must be vaccinated and passcard is required to be filled out but security doesn't check it anymore. Not comfortable going back since I live with immunocompromised people. I know there is some kind of US Remote Work procedure to go through to continue WFH but I don't know the proper way to get that done or the right things to say or keywords to get them to approve it.

Yes…speak with HR to start interactive process on reasonable accommodation to WFH since you live with immune-compromised people. However, have you not been going to events? Stores? Vacations? At all for the past year? They will be asking you these questions also be prepared to provide medical certifications for those you live with to prove they are immune compromised. Have you asked your manager if they’ll accommodate you working from home if you have been great at doing so?

Negotiation in new offer: I’m moving from fully remote to fully in office (with chance of hybrid later) offer for associate director in quality in pharma for 170k base, 18% bonus and 75k equity. I’ve asked for a sign on bonus as I’m not eligible for annual next year and will be missing my current jobs bonus. I should hear tomorrow (asking for 28k). Thoughts about the offer? Should I ask for more equity or is that standard? They’re public (currently ~$20)should I get the hybrid option in writing?

Email from leadership last week. We can go back as soon as 7/5 with permission. Had to let our boss know. Phase 1 will begin in July and go through end of Sept, provided schools are re opened. Future phases will be announced at a later date. So, I guess at this point in time, things are still up in the air.

Can the hybrid model actually work?

People have gotten so used to just backing meetings up into each other. You logout of one and immediately jump in to another. I remember days full of meetings before but not at this volume.

I struggle believing this practice will cease with any percentage of the workforce at home. I don't subscribe to all or nothing but I'm interested in if this has been addressed. Has anyone's hybrid policy mentioned the future of meeting best practice?

Everyone back to office full time starting August 30. Some return to travel before then. Location is NYC.

Hi there - my company is returning to office next month. Hybrid to begin before they ramp up to 5 days back in office by end of year.

I think the fact they want to bring us back 5 days is disrespectful considering how much work we’ve put in remotely over the last year. Not to mention productivity studies say people who WFH (and have no kids) are substantially more productive.

All that being said, does anyone work at a FinTech/Tech company whose RTTO policy is more flexible? Looking to leave
