So I've had 2 hiring managers and several recruiters from Amazon reach out to me about applying for some open positions with the company (android). I completed the coding assessment and now they want me to go through a round of 5 hour interviews next week. Is there a good chance I'll be hired if engineering managers are reaching out to me? I'm really not sure how badly I want to work for them and I don't want to be laid off months after being hired on. Anyone know what Amazon hiring is like?
When is a 3 page resume acceptable?

That was stupid. Why put all your eggs in one basket when you don’t have too?
Also you can still find an internship somewhere but probably not at a huge company with a formalized recruiting process
@AC1 based on their response it doesn’t really sound like they do - sounds like a lot of coping and justification of a terrible strategy especially being from a non-target and a 4th year aiming for an internship as opposed to full-time in a time when there’s news across the market of deal flow slowing down (shows a lack of awareness and foresight frankly), but agreed no need to phrase something as such a direct attack.
Not the end of the world and will have another opportunity for full time - just will have to network hard and find something relevant to put on the resume for the summer.
Such callous, ill-informed responses. Most of the folks who get full-time offers are those who were dinged in intern interviews (example: I was dinged at all 3 junior year, and was cross-offered senior year, not an uncommon experience). It was worth investing this cycle and you're nearly guaranteed looks / interviews next year because of it.
Look at startups, tech, etc. Lots of stuff with informal processes still going on. You'll be fine :)
Think about why you got rejected and address those weaknesses
In the mean time, hedge your bets with everywhere else like the other 99.99%
Network your butt off for boutiques. Try your hand in another industry with relevant experiences that could translate well to consulting (I.e., just about everything). Keep casing and try again for FT
Why would you do that knowing non-target?
I would apply to industry jobs that pop up and tend to have later timelines, maybe some boutiques in your city are hiring interns. Ultimately anything that strengthens your profile and makes your summer impactful to your growth as a professional and resume.
I took a risk making a bet on myself. Obviously didn’t pay off. Appreciate the advice on exploring industry jobs

What level are you at?
Bro with a cs degree you prbly should've applied to all the APM programs, pretty sure there's still a few that's hiring
Why don’t you just go into cs and specialize in that domain? You’re life will be way better working for a tech company after 2 years than an MBB. Way more money and far less hours worked in tech than MBB

There are likely still quite a few internships out there, but you’ll need to give a few details at least about what your background is and what you’re looking for
Technical is totally fine, easy enough to go into interviews with the rationale that you wanted to try it out and realized you wanted something non-technical full-time
