Come to the dark side, young padewan
In general, don’t lateral to another consulting firm without a comp bump unless you know you’re being forced out. It will take time to build your network which indirectly slows your progression.
Can’t speak to Germany by AP > EYP (and K) in the States
I am not in Germany, nor do I claim to know the market but 10% comp increase is not worth the move unless you know for sure that there is a growth path there since you stated that you feel like there is no growth. Politics will always be there. It makes more sense to move within K than out if that is a possibility.
Thank you PM1. I have decided to leave Kearney already. Any thoughts on the two offers?
I really like our German team - super professional with a good vibe (American who has worked a lot in Germany)
Rising Star
The market sounds nice in Germany. Clearly you went out of your way to start looking for a new job and aren't happy with yours so who cares about comp. Move.
I would say go to Alix if the WLB and culture is better aligned with what you want.
Def go AP
but second what others mentioned above
T2s are all very similar, and your network is key for progression
I’m not in Germany, but I do like my firm. Pretty happy here overall. And top-of-market comp is the norm.
Alix better imo even if comp the same

Go to Germany….. and get involved with the politics!
