Also, what do you prefer WFH or WFO?

Hey! Any Google folks know if it’s possible to negotiate fully remote if a contract role is hybrid? Personally, I don’t want to relocate and go to the office on a contract role given the current economy. Plus, I’m assuming contractors are the first to go in layoffs. I just think it’s a fair trade off if I’d be allowed to work fully remote. I’m also trying to have flexibility to manage my Airbnb business in a different country. Same time zone as the home office if I’d travel weeks at a time.

What’s your end goal? You won’t climb the ranks being fully remote your entire life, sans software engineering, even then you hit a ceiling if you are not known
Depending on how chill/stressful your current job is, but I personally would not leave my WFH job for anything less than 60% increase from my current salary.

Stay put. Market is bad. That place you leave for might let you go in 3-6 months. That risk for $~20k no way!
If you don’t have kids and are not married take the job
Can you share more details? How far into your career are you, how cumbersome is it to get to the office, etc
