Cushman & Wakefield Interested in a Sales Associate position at Cushman & Wakefield. I have experience as a government analyst for 7 years but nothing related to commercial real estate. I want to become a more competitive applicant but not sure where to start. Are there any certificates, skills, or knowledge that I should be learning in my free time?

Any Spotify people here? Noticed there’s an AM role going at the moment in the UK but not sure what experience level it is. For reference I’ve got 6 years in ad sales experience with 3 years management (both in music industry). Would this be comfortable or is it worth holding out for AD?

Employment tax
Your best bets are companies with multistate presences such as ecommerce or another public firm.
What level are you? If you are a staff or senior, you can easily network your way into another sub service line within the same office. Once you get some provision and compliance experience on your resume, you will be a lot more marketable.
What level are you in? My company is hiring an indirect tax Senior. Dm me if interested. Position is remote
What’s your area of expertise?
It depends on your level of experience but I would say if you are manager or below, you might want to see if you could transfer internally to another general tax group or do a rotation with EY or another big 4 or large accounting firm. With a very small office, it could be a good fit but think about what your longer term goals are. Since you expressed concern about being in a niche area, it could limit your options even further down the road. If your goal is broader exposure/experience and maybe going into industry eventually, looking at broadening experience internally or at another big4 is probably a safer option (not saying this is the right choice for you but generally).
