Move on, eventually everyone will.!
Don't do it just for the money. That said, life as a Manager at Accenture is great. My peers who came from Deloitte really appreciated that our org was a bit more flat.
We are over 500K employees now. Everyone wants to work for us!! Mwuahahaha!
Duh no brainer. If you don’t leave we will eventually fire you
Come on. You know better! Sign the letter, clear the background check and put in your notice.
What are they waiting for? OP what are you waiting for?!
Go. Pls. Take the dam money!
Take the offer all day twice on Sunday. Congratulations btw
0 question. That’s $50k...
That’s ridiculous, no idea D paid so little. I’m in my 2nd yr out of undergrad and make the same (sorry for weird flex- just really shocked D underpays like this). Sounds like a baller offer, take it OP!!
@McK generally speaking, MBB pays WAY better than B4 and ACN. Making $120 let alone 160 as a campus hire 2 years out at B4 Or ACN is really hard or not heard of
Offered salary is the short-term view, but you know that’s not the only factor. Ask yourself, what are your long-term goals, OP? ACN does not have as strong a reputation as Deloitte in the market (of course, depending on a few factors). If you want to get out, make M at D and the world is your oyster. If you like the consulting lifestyle, flit anywhere.
What was the unofficial count? Any specific oof feting ?
Don’t discount the salary bump at this point in your career. The financial impact over your career will be huge. Congrats!
You’d be getting a title bump and major salary bump. I’d take it. Consulting has super high turnover and many of the people you love to work with may be somewhere else in 6 months (I don’t mean to be cynical, this is just reality). I’d ask what your path would look like in this specific practice group at ACN and if you’re satisfied with that, no reason not to move.
If you wanna stay, show D the offer and have them match, if not, then peace ✌️
This
Move on, keep these relationships as you make new ones
Remember, you can always come back if it doesn't work out. Just leave the proper way, aka resign correctly and do turn over.
No reason to turn to down such a high percentage increase in pay. Funny thing is, boomeranging might be the only way to get Deloitte to match that pay.
Anomaly opinion here! Chasing money won’t necessarily make you happier. Honestly, I don’t give a shit about money coming from a NFP so this totally depends on what you’re motivated by.
Source: did this from another big 4 and it’s been shitty ever sense.
Not in the slightest. My parents are farmers.
How much would you make at D if you made manager? If it’s less than the 167, then fk that
So the decision is easy. All the big 4 brand and BS doesn’t pay your bills. You are just a pawn. Make the move. Congrats
I’d take the offer. It’ll re-baseline your salary and if you’re unhappy after a bit, leave for another firm. You don’t owe these firms anything.
When I was at D, very few of the managers I worked with grew up in the firm. That perspective helped me when I left.
From someone who has worked at both D and ACN. I would go. Leave with all relationships in tact. ACN is a great company. If you don’t like it, you can go back to D. You have to give comp as the top reason you are leaving. It will help D see that they are paying people under market and that this will continue to happen unless they fix.
💰 🏃♀️
It would be very dumb to stay. The people you currently work with will inevitably change projects/leave the firm, meaning you’ll still miss them and not get paid. You can still maintain those friendships after you leave and make that $$$ and meet some great new people.
