Deloitte folks who left for a competitor and were let go in a couple of days. Would they pay you for the 2 weeks notice period?

DO NOT share where you’re going. Just share your exit date, and state that you’ve decided to pursue another opportunity to advance your career. If you desire, thank the firm for the opportunity. If anyone asks, reply “I cannot share at this time”. Good luck.
^^^If I recall correctly, “new employer” is not a required field (unless the form has been amended since I left)
Write it down, last day is 2 weeks from today, mm/dd/yyyy. That way if they terminate you earlier, which they will for competitor, you can still get paid.
Do not share where you are going - they have no right to know. Equally, you are at will and they can let you go if they don't see a business need.
Has anyone ever gotten blacklisted from D? I’m considering another opportunity at a competing firm but I’ve only been here a short time (2 months) would I get blacklisted if I leave?
They could add do not rehire to your record.
What SC2 and ED1 said - don’t ever share where you’re going. Say exactly what’s suggested above: “I’ve decided to pursue another opp to advance my career” and leave it at that.
D6, why not, I wonder what can go wrong though?
They will still pay out the two weeks. They will cut off access pretty quick and will closely monitor your activity.
My recommendation. Resign, with the expectation to be your last day, upon resignation.
They pay it out I’m p sure
They do. Deloitte takes care of people for real. At least in my experience
Wow, sounds so vicious.😳
They are paying my last 2 weeks
Do you have to tell D where you are going?
Are you in D US?
