I just took the test today and passed (875/1000).

I used tableau’s e-learning platform and went through the author’s learning path which should cover everything you need.

For practice tests I used udemy and found that the ‘tableau desktop specialist certification practice test 2022’ by Amandeep Sawhney was the best source as it accurately matched the questions that came up in the real exam.

If you prefer not to pay for course material - I’d suggest going through tableau’s product support/info site, which covers everything you need.

Let me know if you have more questions and good luck!

Thank you. I am doing the same tests.

I did a 4-day class on it about 5 years ago and then took the exam like a week later and just barely passed.

like

Yes, I had about a year of on and off Tableau use and easily passed the test. I found the test easier than all the practice exams I took.

I suggest trying out some Workout Wednesday or Makeover Monday challenges to get a better sense of your comfort level. Also, check out the Tableau User Groups for upcoming sessions on certifications. The Minneapolis user group is presenting on certifications on Thursday.

Update — i passed the official exam. Tableau desktop certified now!

like

@OP. I’m registering for the certification this week as well.

Anything that you suggest for learning apart from what J1 suggested? Also, I think this test is all theory now, right?

Also, i don’t have much experience with Tableau. Mostly powerbi.

Isn't this one open book?

As an experienced, SHRM certified HRBP , I would just like some feedback on your opinion of the differences in the roles between an HRBP an HR Manager besides the obvious that the manager should have direct reports. I am an HRBP and work in step with 3 HRM’s. They all 3 just got out of cycle raises of between 5-20% 😳 and I received nothing. I am quite aware of our HR code that salary is confidential but I was told about this. Would you be looking for other employment? Or stay?

I’ve been told my company is changing my title from Associate Director of BD to Sales Executive. I’m concerned it reads like a title demotion. Is it just semantics? How will this look for my career development? Curious about the standard perception of Sales Executive from a seniority perspective. Where does this land on the sales roles hierarchy? For context, it’s a professional services firm, I’ve been there 3+years, and they gave a Sales Executive title to someone who just started 5mo ago.

So pretty much you work In consulting, get paid half of what fang people make and In many cases work IB hours to meet clients continually changing demands . I really don’t understand why anyone in the field would work as a consultant doing data work? The only + is in consulting there are lots of low hangin fruit 🍎.
